Any self proclaim GoldWing mechanic needs one of these!
But the pages are much thinner than the old 1500 manual I have. I wonder how well they can stand greasy hands. I know of a DVD that contains the maint manual plus 'How to' videos and parts catalog. I don't know if it's available to the public but then, I would end up with a greasy keyboard...

I had a Vulcan Nomad for nine years and found the service manual essential. This Honda manual was my first extra for my '08 Wing. Truth is, you never go near 3/4 of what's in there, but for the other 1/4, its a bargain. Knowing torque values alone is worth the price of admission. If your going to own any bike for the long haul, either get a shop manual or let somebody else do the work -- especially with Goldwings.

Unbelievable how big this manual is for the money. Has two parts; service manual and electrical troubleshooting manual. Would have had some trouble installing some of the parts here without the manual.

I agree with everyone's reviews. This is a great book with a tremendous amount of info. I just wish I was a good enough shade tree mechanic to be able to use it as it should be used. At least I'll have it as a reference guide even if I'm unable to have the skills to use it accordingly. Good buy.

I particularly like the electrical section. Currently researching the circuit for the signal light cancel switch to activate a garage door opener.

Wow! This Manual is huge! I had to split it into two notebooks.
Every time I buy a car or bike I buy the service manual to go with it. I do most of the work on these machines myself.
This is buy far the most comprehensive manual I have ever owned.
The trouble shooting sections are very well put together.
The only problem is, I don't know if I'll have enough room to take it with me on long trips, It must wiegh 8 pounds.

Buy this manual even if your dealer is going to do all your service work. You should know what they are doing or what they should be doing.
Likes:
Loose leaf format. This allows it to lay flat plus you can remove pages to photocopy to keep the "master copy" clean. It also allows you to remove pages so you're not flipping back and forth between diagrams and the service procedure.
Torque values are expressed in both Nm and Ft.lbs. My wrenches are calibrated in Ft.lbs. so I don't have to deal with conversions; less chance for error.
Suggestions:
Buy a second loose leaf binder in order to put part of the manual in. A regular 3-ring binder will do. Sort of like volume 1 and volume 2. The supplied binder is barely large enough to hold the material. A second binder will allow you turn pages with less chance of tearing the paper and you will have the space to put receipts and other records you may want to keep.

Great service and technical manual. Any maint or tech question can be answered in this book. Better than Clymer books...which happen not to be available for 2006-2008.

Good head work!
If you read and heed before you take off a part you’re not familiar with, then maybe you won’t break a part that costs twice as much as this manual! Or break a part that puts your bike down on a beautiful spring day with that mountain road you’ve been planning to investigate all winter long.
Ever wonder how in the devil that connector or fitting comes apart –or- maybe the engine? Here’s the answer.
Downside:
Not exactly a pocket book! It weights around 10 pounds. Maybe even more.
