I do not have a product rating, I have a question please. Does this backrest have any fore and aft adjustment? If so, how much? Can it be adjusted by the driver while riding? Thanks ..........Bob

easy to install, they forgot to ship two bolts for back of seat, the biggest problem is having the guts to take a knife to your brand new Goldwing, after that it's all pretty easy.

Great back rest, very comfortable, 1 hour install being VERY, VERY careful. I wish I would have bought it a long time ago. Looks very "factory" and not added on.

I'll try to keep this shorter than my thoughts on the Ergo Pegs.
Wingstuff.com was smooth and I only have one minor issue. I received an email stating the pacakge was shipped, but no tracking information. As a consumer who orders of the net it gives a degree of comfort if I see an AWB# showing my package is enroute.
The backrest came pacakaged as advertised with all the components there. As stated before the instructions were way to dark to read. You can see better instructions at Add On's website.
Removing the seat was a no brainer as I have done it before several times.
Lining up the bracket under the seat and drilling was no problem at all. One recommendation is to drill one size smaller that 9/32 as instructed. I drilled with the 9/32 bit and the bolts had too much wiggle room for my taste.
Now for the difficult part....cutting into your seat. I used a brand new razor blade and made the opening as small as I could. Next was removing the foam with the long, serrated, kitchen knife. Probably the biggest pain in the butt in my opinon, but is managable if your patient enough.
Once that was done mounting the brackets was no problem at all. In my opinon if you can change the oil in your car then you should be mechanically inclided enough to install this yourself.
Once the seat was back on the bike I installed the backrest and set it up for my liking.
This is a must have item if your into long rides. I will be taking this on a little torture test tomorrow as my wife and I are heading up to the Grand Canyon.
Happy riding!!

Ordered this product a couple of weeks ago and to my disappointment, it was on back order. I e-mailed "Matt" at customer service and expressed my desire to use it on my up-coming trip. Happily, it showed up at my door step just before my trip and was rather easy to install. I am very satisfied with the product but more satisfied with the service I recieved. That's how business is done.

Took about an hour to install. Very good looking and functional. Pouch is a little cheesie, but its for my back on long and short rides. A must have.

Feels really good on my back and the pouch is handy for the passenger to put snacks and a drink in. The installation instructions that came with mine were so dark that I couldn't see the pictures so I went to Add on's site and pulled them up and that took care of it. Looks nice on the bike without the side bars that other backrest have.

I had this installed at the dealership since I was a bit reluctant to cut the seat cover. I like it and won't give it up until I buy my Corbin with backrest incorporated into the seat. I put a lambskin cover on it to reduce perspiration (it's hot in Las Vegas!) and that seems to do the trick. I used a lambskin wash mit from Walmart by unstitching it. You can see it in my photos.

I didn't install mine, I had my trike dealer do it. But if you have back problems, this will really help. Long rides are sooooo much easier now with this back rest, I like it doesn't have all those bars on it and it does fold down for my lady to get on and off the trike.

Excellent in concept, BUT...
1. The bolts that got through the backrest's mounting are smaller than the holes in the backrest's support (the part that screws to the underside of your seat) so there is significant play on both axies. This is multiplied by two. (Both pivot locations have the same issue. Big holes in support, small bolts through backrest.
2. Partial issue due to theabove stated problem(s)... For me, the backrest wants to twist my back into a position where I am facing twards the left speaker when I put my back flat against the backrest.
3. The paint is not very durable in the area that it goes through the seat. (Some had chipped off before I had gone 5 miles.)
4. Everything being said, I would not question purchasing this product. I am not happy with the final result YET, but it has eased my back strain.
