Love the look and seems to cut down on back draft for my passenger. I have over 4,000 miles on my bike since installation and, maybe I am just lucky, but I have had no problems with the foam tape moving around as others have stated. Make sure you clean the surface with alcohol before you apply the tape. Only 4 stars because its quite difficult getting the tabs of the backrest back in place. This is definitely not designed as “quick removal” as stated.

I'm going to stick to the 4 stars because of the install dirctions.
I have gone about 2500 miles since I have installed the deflector and still love it. I am like Tony though I have started to see the "Tap" Pulling away from the deflector. I do beleave it should be harder tap and installed more then 1/8 in from the backrest. I put mine about 1/4 inch in and its still working its way out and that froms the wind making it sway bach and forth a lot. Maybe thicker and harder tap. could be even wider. You can see it on my photos page. will put more soon.

First of all, the air foil does make a difference (I have the Dragon Wings as well). The air foil seems to flex quite a bit, so on the highway there is a lot of "wobble" to it. I guess that's OK, but as a result, the tape-backed foam strip has moved around quite a bit, some of it moving up, some of it moving down and twisting, which doesn't look real good. Kuryakyn doesn't carry the foam as a separate item, and I'm waiting for them to get back to me as to a resolution.

This unit does not work with A Corbin back rest!! The fiberglass in the Corbin is contured to fit along the edge of the trunk lid. No way possible to make it fit.
Not Kuryakyns fault and sounds like a great idea but I just couldn't make it happen.
I have one if anyone would like it just Email me.

Love the look. Girlfriend loves being able to keep her face shield up more. I noticed less wind baffeling when a big truck passes. Gas milliage has improved with single driver no passanger but the same with two riders.
One last thing the instruction say where to put the holes in the back set be careful you do not put it too low if you do the wind deflector gets in the way of the brackets of the seat per instructions. They could impover the photos on the instruction.

Install took about 20 minutes, and only simple hand tools and some common sence. Quick release? That is'nt going to happen. Re-installing the passenger backpad is a task, and took longer then putting the deflector on the bike. Passenger noted a little bit of a difference in regard to less backdraft. I can only notice less wind noise from her mic. PLEASE NOTE: the box says" Results when used with Dragon wings". I made the mistake of ordering mine from someplace else (CW) and will not be ordering anything else from them after the wings show up! I still have the stock windshield. Next I will be ordering a F4 +2" from here. I am threw with those other guys.

I have added some pictures into my photo gallery so you can see what the air foil looks like on my bike.

Let's start from the beginning, as usual my air foil arrived all in one piece and pretty fast, nothing unusal about that when ordered from WingStuff. I opened the box and found the instructions, it said two pages, but only one page was inside, I guessed on page two, page one was a poor copy or instructions when it came to photo's, one photo was missing, which I thought was important when you have to drill holes into your backrest area. Also you will need a 15/32" drill bit to install the rubber inserts. PLEASE watch out for wire harness that is in this location! The air foil makes reinstalling the backrest a little harder, I used petrolium jelly to make it easier to put back on. I have a F4 custom windshield, and Tulsa air deflectors under my mirrors, so we went on a 200 mile trip, riding solo, I didn't notice much difference, a little less wind from the backdraft. But when riding two up my partner said she noticed a lot of difference. So, I guess the air foil will stay on.
