WARNING 2006 GL1800 INSTALL ISSUE. THE CENTER SUPPORT DOES NOT FIT STOCK MOUNTING HARDWARE. THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE SUPPORTS ARE ELONGATED THE CENTER IS NOT. THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY TO REUSE THE STOCK BOLT FOR THE CENTER.THE SHOULDER OF THE BOLT DOESN'T FIT. THE SUPPORT / RE-ENFORCEMENT CAN NOT BE USED LEAVING THE WINDSHIELD HELD IN THE CENTER BY TO BOLTS (EVEN IF THEY DID FIT). WHICH LEAVES THE WINDSHIELD AT THE MERCY OF THE METAL GARISH FOR SUPPORT.

WTF! Kuryakyn usually makes good stuff. I got this windshield a month after expected arrival. No instrustions to mount it in the box. Had to go to the Kuryakyn web site to get instructions. Took great care to mount it including leaving the protective plastic on it until I was done. Vent was easy to install as was the windshield. Now for the test drive. I no sooner got on it and I noticed it had some distorsion. There is a huge spot about the size of a volley ball in the upper center of the windshield where Kuryakyn put a slight bend in the shield to flip up the air (I guess). It is horrible, you can sit there and move your head up and down and side to side and see things in front of you move like one of those funny mirrors at the fair. If I look about a inch over the vent the shield is okay, but the rest of it is bad. I rode about 10 miles with it and it made me dizzy. It feels flimsey on the edges where the shield is wider, plastic seems thin, but I don't know how it will perform at high speed or into the wind as I never got that far. It is off the bike and boxed up ready to go back. I guess I could have gotten a bad shield and the rest of them are good, however that is how a good company can get careless, attention to detail is what makes companys great and a joy to buy products from. This is not a joy, (expense, inconvience, labor off-on -off on-with something else).This was a new product and never should have made it out of the factory. I would not recomend you buy one,get something else
