If you have a foot bigger than a size 11 its a bad choice. I wear a 13 boot and my foot will not fit between downshift peg and upshift peg. It actually also rubs on the GL 1800 2007 Had to shim out the entire peg 1/4 inch with washers.

Installation of the boards was 90 minutes. This was primarily because I used extra caution when removing the brake lever as to not have the rod slip into the housing as others had learned the hard way.
Using the back shifter is taking a little time to adjust for me as the heel position is back from my normal flat foot position.
After installation, there is no opportunity to slip you front toe under the shifter as in the OEM position. But I wanted comfort and chrome for the long rides.
I will give it some time as I believe that these floorboards will turn out to be a great purchase.

I have had these on my bike for over a year and they still look as good as the day I put them on. Easy to install and improved riding comfort very much. Only problem is the bushing that goes on the existing shifter seems to expand when wet, causing the shifter to stick, but works itself out in a short time. Overall I love these and would add them to any bike I had.

These arrived yesterday, and I just finished installing them - took about an hour, only because I check and double check everything, and I try to be real careful. Tested them out on the property here, and because I'm not a seasoned rider, I had no trouble with the "new" way of shifting. Easy to put on (with the right tools), and so far, I'm happy with them. A couple of issues with the instructions (yes, I did get them, plus you can download the PDF file from the manufacturer's web site if you lose yours). Pictures could be clearer (i.e. larger to show detail), and they neglected to tell you a couple of things, but common sense prevailed! All in all, a nice product - made a great bike look even better, and a whole lot more comfortable on long trips!

These floorboards really look good and are great for traveling. They do force you to put your foot down a little farther out than you might ordinarily when you stop. Also, the sidestand is inaccessable until it is flipped up. Overall, they are worth the downside by providing comfort and protection while riding which is what you will be doing most of the time anyway.

I see a number of people complaining about Kuryakyn's instructions. I can't complain mainly because they didn't supply any at all! In any event, the parts were well made and the design is better than average. Unfortunately, the shifter bound when fully tightened down. The pivot pin was too short and the plastic bushings were binding. In addition, the plastic shifter bushing also bound and needed massaging to get free return on the shifter. When everthing got working I was pleased with the comfort level rise over the stock pegs. 3 stars simply because of the lack of instructions and the finishing left for me to do.....

Good product, but expensive. The pad on the brake lever wore down pretty quickly. Overall, they are pretty comfortable and strong.

I did not feel comfortable with the boards on as they were too limiting in positioning my left foot. I went back to the original foot pegs. For me, the location of the foot board mount points were not forward enough to allow for my comfort. The back downshift lever was too far back for me and felt odd. My size 12 left shoe did not fit cleanly between the front and rear shift points for the heel and toe. This further limited foot position on the left side.

GREAT PRODUCT! I used the Labor Day special and got this for $269.00, free shipping. Installed in 20 minutes. Shifter side is real real easy and flipping up the board to deploy the kickstand isn't a big a deal as some people make it out to be. The brake side is easy too, but definately do the "hold the splined shaft" process they recommend. I took a long handled straight screwdriver and held it against the back side of the splined shaft and wedged it against the master cylinder. Slid the replacement brake pedal over the shaft and used a small rubber hammer to tap the arm to it's seated position, then snug it all down. This is the best price and shipping I have found. I don't know why I waited so long (6 months) to add these. Hal spearit6@aol.com

Agree with other positive reviews! Nice addition/attractive. Quick and Easy install. Remember to use something to keep the shift pin "extended/pulled out" when installing the toe/heal shifter on it. It will push in if not careful. Very Comfortable Boards! Took a week to get used to them and the "toe/heal" shift, but completely natural now. No regrets and a more stable feel under my feet than stock pegs.

Great floorboards. Instructions were OK and install only took 30 minutes. Plastic striker plates are disappointing and will not endure more than a couple touchdowns. I'm replacing mine with some homemade stainless ones.

One of the best purchases I made for my bile. Looks great and gives a more stable position for footing. Gives a all around better appearance to my bike.

These are the best things since "homemade bullets." After having been a police motor officer for seven years I got comfortable with floorboards and really missed not having them. Easy install, superior quality, and extremely comfortable. You get use to putting the left board up to put the sidestand down, so no big deal as far as I am concerned. They look great and are one of my favorite items on my bike. Thanks to Randy.

THESE FLOORBOARDS HAVE VERY POOR CHROME. MINE ARE LESS THAN 12 MONTHS OLD AND THE CHROME IS COMING OFF UNDERNEATH AND ON TOP AFTER ONLY 2 MONTHS ON THE BIKE.THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN OUT WHEN THERE HAS BEEN ROCK SALT ON THE ROADS SO I CAN ONLY PUT IT DOWN TO BAD PLATING.I WOULD NOT PURCHASE THESE AGAIN.

Set works and looks great. Add the wider brake pedal for easier quik stops. Make sure you tighten the shifter pivot real snug as it will loosen otherwise.
