Expensive cord. But very high quality and the S/O can turn the volume down when i scream at her for giving me wrong directions. Worth every penny, so she claims!!

Tolles Kabel für den Sozia. Meine Frau kann sich die gewünschte Lautstärke selber einstellen. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.

I bought this cord with the volume control so that my wife could control her volume. I am hard hearing (according to her) and it works well. a little expensive, but worth the money if it keeps the wife happy. She's happy.

YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOUR UPPER CORD WORKS WITH THIS CORD. I ORDER IT AND THEN HAD TO ORDER THE UPPER TO BE ABLE TO USE IT. MY WIFE LIKE IT THOUGH. I AM A LITTLE HARD OF HEARING IN ONE EAR,(PROBABLY BECAUSE OF HER NAGGING ALL THESE YEARS) AND LIKE TO TURN THE VOLUME UP WHILE SHE KEEPS HERS SOFTER.

Previous reviewer had a faulty cord. Transmitting on the CB works perfectly. This unit is extremely well made and has a solid volume pot unlike most aftermarket and Hondaline units. J&M really did this one up right. It's just the ticket for drivers like myself, for whom the stereo tends to be too loud when the passenger's volume is just right. My passenger gets more wind noise, and requires a louder volume. This lets me dial my volume down to comfortable levels. I'm impressed with the quality, feel, and usability on the road. I suggest mounting the little box onto the tunnel cover with sticky velcro, forming an S curve in the short part of the cord, just above where the cord connection is so the volume pot box doesn't drag and bounce against the shelter. Worked like a charm for me. The unit may seem pricey, but the quality is definitely there. A+++

Great all the way. I also use this volume cord as the pilot as I find it easier & faster to adjust the sound instead of just turning off or muting the entire system. However a note of discovery: the cord seems to be primarily intended for passenger use and therefore doesn't seem to have a CB pin in the connection harness. All other on-bike functions work except the CB. I can hear but cannot transmit. Either that or I have a defective cord.

Not much to say about. It is necessary and works well. Volume control is nice for passengers who have a deaf driver.
