Stops the bouncing around noise from loose objects. Also as others have mentioned, the saddlebag carpets are a perfect fit however, the trunk carpet is a little short, about 1.5" Overall, good quality for the price.

I got a set of these recently and they are well made. They are a little oversize, but can be made to fit if you tuck them in on the edges, or in the case of the travel trunk, allow the ends to lay up around the edges. I'm very pleased and I saved a lot of money over the Honda brand. You can't go wrong at these prices.

The quality of the carpet is nice. As others have mentioned the trunk fit is a little off, but all in all this is a nice item.

My wife bought me these for a Christmas gift. They look great, fit right and really add a nice touch. I didn't think that I would particularly notice a difference but when you open the bags they really add an upscale appearance.
