This was the easiest items I have installed on my GL1800 so far. It took longer to get the tools out and read the directions then install it. Didn't notice any extra heat or change in Temp Gauge. I may have notice less cross wind action when large trucks pass in the opposite direction. If I notice anything different will update. Only been on over the weekend.

Good thing to have but dont tightern the self tapping screws to tight our you will lose them Ive lost 2 all ready.They cross thread very easly.

Sure a little extra heat, but after about 1000 miles of riding, unbelievable the number of dents in it already..... sure saving the bottom of my bike from serious damage..... would buy another in a heartbeat !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm inclined to agree with Gary. After installing this pan, I went for a short night ride. The heat from the left side on my foot and leg was extreme. It should work great in the winter but I will be removing it until then.

Morning: Put this item on my goldwing, noticed lots of heat and a little rise in my temperature gauge.. Pulled it back off and everything was fine.. Would not recommend this at all.. It puts lots of heat on the riders too..

Easy installation. Everything fits just like it should. Not as heavy as some, but it's going to stop anything that's going to do damage.

Had one on my 94 and first thing I bought for my 06. One look at the pan when changing the oil and you know it is worth every penny. Really simple install, easier than on the 94.

Very good product and easy to install. I add some extras rubber to help to prevent noise. It does help to protect your GW. A must have item.

Installation was quite easy. I haven't noticed any increase in heat reaching me or registering on the engine temperature gauge. It's been 90+ degrees (F) here for a couple of weeks and I haven't noticed a change in the bike at all.

Yes it does make the heat from the bike more noticeable, but the protection it offer the underside of your bike is worth it.

Went on easy. Peace of mind!

Fit well and easy to installed. A cheap addition for the extra protection.

Easy to install and I am assuming that the extra protection was necessary. I guess I will never know since my coolant tank is still there and no leaks. :)

Forget the instructions, they are useless. On the 08, loosen the two sets of nuts (10mm) under the shifter and brake and one bolt (10mm) on the front of each exhaust cover. Attach the grated front to the pan with the 3 supplied screws (suggest grinding them down a tad after installing), move the exhaust covers enough to install the pan and line up the slots with the bolts under the shifter and brake. Tighten it all up and you are off and running. Protection and Safety are always a good thing. And staying off the side of the road helps to. This will help keep you off the side of the road. And for what you give for it, gives you good peace of mind to keep you one the road. RIDE ON!!!!

This is my second one of these. The first one was ground down in 2 spots (too frisky in the twisties) and one hole that was a clean punch through from a misadventure while going up a driveway. The peace of mind is worth it. I don't know if the claims of aerodynamic improvement have any merit because I didn't notice any difference. But after seeing some of the damage done to other people's wings, I would not ride without these.

Took about 15 minutes to install. Like the piece of mind knowing the underside is protected. Had no problems with the fit that others have had. Everything lined up perfect on mine.

EASY TO DO.. HARDEST PART WAS GETING BIKE ON CENTER....FITS WELL AND PROTECT UNDERSIDE OF BIKE

I can't believe that you have to add this! Should be stock! It works well, and easy to change the oil! Good buy!

Very easy to install and protects the underside. I have change the oil since installing, added 5 more minutes to the oil change. Worth every penny.
