If buying complete kit with battery, the Generation III sealed gel cell battery is also higher output than original and is gel and maintenence free so we can ship UPS fully charged anywhere in the USA. NOTE!! When changing GL1500 Alternators, we find that the Factory Honda Rubber Dampers are usually worn out causing vibration, We Highly Recommend ordering those when replacing your Alternator, they are sold each and you need four, they are also listed on below drop down!
Transportation info - Compufire battery conforms to the non-spillable battery requirments in the code of Federal Regulations 49 (CFR49), revised 10/1/98, section 173.159 (d), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), 40th Edition, Packing Instruction 806 and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods code (IMDG code), page 8121. IATA special provision A67 and IMDG special provision 238 for non-spillable batteries, which classifies them as non-regulated goods provided their terminals are packed in a manner so as to protect them from short circuits, whenever these regulations apply.

This is very much worth the upgrade especially if you have lots of lights. W/ built in ground loop eliminators you hear no noise through your CB. As an addition you can grab the alternator failure indicator to add to your dash just in case.

I Live in Belize and the tropical weather here requires optimum performance, so whenever you need to be ready to go on the road, my replacement for the GL1500 Compu-Fire Output Alternator has proven more and beyond my expectations. It has been one of the most important replacement items i have done for my bike.

Good instructions, easy to install, even a woman can install it. My 1996 Goldwing trike starts and runs better after installing this alternator. I would highly recommend it.

After having charging problems and stranded on the side of highway, I am very pleased to say this is by far the best upgrade I have installed on my GL1500. I strongly recommend installing both the alternator and compu fire battery as now the bike starts easier and the lights NEVER dim!
